ETC was founded in 1975 on the basic premise that community involvement and support is essential for resolving community problems. Early in our history, ETC identified troubled youth and their families as an under-served population in our community.
From our humble beginnings, the agency grew steadily through the decades. In 1985, ETC opened Harbour House, The Emergency Shelter for Children, to fulfill a community need for a safe place for youth in crisis. Today, Harbour House is just one of several ETC programs having a positive impact on our community.
ETC’s programs offer hope to families who are struggling with difficult circumstances. Through both prevention and intervention efforts, ETC is “helping people live better lives”. There is no financial obligation to clients.
Our many programs are continuously in need of your help. Read more to review our wish lists.
